1. Adequate supply of air to all gas appliances
2. Operation of appliance, control taps, ignition system and flame supervision devices
3. Check the flame picture of any burner(s)
4. Check clearances for combustible materials
5. Check the stability of the appliance
6. Gas installation pipework and flexible connection(s) where appropriate
7. Ensure operating gas pressure or heat input rate or both are correct
8. Test all controls for satisfactory operation
9. If gas connection disturbed test for tightness. Carry out full test if required.
10. Advise gas user of any defects/further work required or recommended as necessary.
